Pibank is a brand of Intercredit Bank, N.A., a Miami-based bank with over 30 years of history. Intercredit Bank is a full-service financial institution, operating as a National Association under the supervision of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
In 2020, Intercredit was acquired by the majority owner of Banco Pichincha Holding Group, an almost 120 year-old, global financial institution based in Ecuador, with a presence in Spain, Colombia, Peru, Panama, and an agency office in Miami. Intercredit Bank operates independently from Banco Pichincha Holding Group and is separately managed and regulated.
Pibank originated in Spain in 2018 and subsequently expanded into Colombia and now into the U.S., with its initial presence in Florida.
